Engineered for automotive and aerospace crash testing, the Phantom C540J delivers 4-Mpx resolution on a 1-inch sensor for precise analysis of structural deformation and occupant kinematics.
Powered by the Forza Silicon ForzaFAST581 sensor, it provides artefact-free clarity even under high-gain conditions or exposure to intense light sources. Its compact, rounded design also fits into cramped spaces like footwells and dashboards, capturing critical viewpoints that traditional high-speed cameras miss.
The C540J is built to survive the punishing conditions of modern crash labs — from rail and commercial vehicles, to complex aerospace applications. It is 170G shock-rated, ensuring it can reliably withstand repeated high-velocity impact events without affecting performance. As a result, crash labs can avoid the significant costs associated with lost test days or invalid runs.
The C540J offers a scalable architecture that integrates seamlessly into existing workflows. When paired with the JB3 Junction Box, the system supports up to eight cameras per unit for added two-camera capacity over previous generations. Consequently, it broadens coverage with fewer boxes and less cable clutter. This future-ready approach lets labs modernise their capabilities without replacing current infrastructure.
The rugged backbone of the C-series system, the JB3 Junction Box, expands crash testing capabilities by supporting up to eight cameras per unit.
This two-camera increase in capacity compared to previous generations allows test labs to capture more occupant angles and structural views while reducing hardware clutter and simplifying overall wiring. In addition, its compact footprint and 170G shock rating ensure reliability during repeated, high-intensity crash events. Furthermore, backward compatibility with JB2 installations preserves compatibility with legacy Phantom JB platforms.
